How to use a wallet
Sounds crazy right? I mean what’s to know, you put money and cards in it and away you go. But I’ll bet there are things we are all guilty of that shorten the lifespan of a wallet. Here’s a few tips that will help you get the most out of your wallet.
- Avoid over-stuffing your wallet! Over-stuffing your wallet with notes, cards and a little black books worth of phone numbers on slips of paper, will put undue stress on the internal stitching of a wallet and shorten its lifespan.
- Avoid coins . Yes we know a coin pouch is a desirable feature for some… But again putting coins in a wallet (with or without a coin pouch) will stretch the stitching of the wallet.
- If your wallet has a plastic ID window (like many do) avoid throwing your wallet onto the dash of your car when driving, especially in sunlight. Plastic windows can often warp, discolor, become brittle or crack if left in the sun. They will also become malformed if you carry it in your back pocket with the aforementioned coins in it.
