Ostrich eyes are bigger than billiard balls! They also happen to be bigger than the birds brain which may be the reason why some ostriches (sometimes) run around in a circle on the spot, when trying to get away from a predator.
Their legs make up most of their impressive 300lbs body weight and with a sharp claw on each foot; these birds are able to and have been known to kill predators including lions and humans. You have been warned.
Ostriches get most of their water from the plants they eat.
One giant ostrich egg weighs as much as 24 chicken eggs.
Each ostrich foot has two toes and a four-inch-long claw, the claw gives it traction when running and also doubles as a deadly weapon.
